IHOP's National Pancake fundraiser for the children's miracle network:
I was invited to volunteer at IHOP in Newington New Hampshire for National Pancake Day to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network. I was able to greet the patrons of the restaurant with a smile and thank them for coming to IHOP to support such a great cause. I also spent time with about 40 kids that were on a field trip. I was able to help sell balloons in the morning to benefit the Children's Miracle Network I sold 150 balloons by the end of breakfast! I was at IHOP for the breakfast and dinner meal times. Together we raised $2,045 in 2010!
http://www.fosters.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20100225/GJNEWS_01/702259732/-1/FOSNEWS Now in its fifth year, the local chain restaurant is one of 1,400 other IHOPs throughout the United States taking part in the event. Participants that received a free short stack of pancakes were asked to donate money which will then directly go to benefit ongoing initiatives at the Children's Hospital Boston. In 2009, IHOP gave away 3 million pancakes and raised nearly $1.5 million. Since starting the event in 2006, IHOP has given away more than 6.1 million pancakes and has raised nearly $3.25 million to support charities in the communities in which it operates.
Below you will see pictures of me reading during National Nutrition Month at local libraries and schools.
Helped collect 16,979 pounds of food for the NH Food Bank at the NH State Home Show. Spent two days helping with their Food Drive. I had a lot of fun greeting the people that came to the home show. I also had fun talking with the kids and collecting their food donation. With each food donation there was a $2.00 discount off the entrance price.
Collage of pictures that were described in a previous post.
